About Us

The Passenger Rail Alliance is not solely a passenger rail advocacy organization, but a passenger rail trade association offering the following services:

• Lobbying, both direct and grass roots, to influence legislation and regulations affecting passenger rail service.
  
  
• Public relations activities to promote the advancement of passenger rail service.
  
  
• Conferences which will provide members opportunities to share ideas and network among themselves.
  
  
• Economic analysis. Too often, government reports are issued which are critical of passenger rail service from a financial perspective. These analyses too often are unchallenged. The alliance will engage the services of transportation economists to answer the charges issued by government agencies.
  
  
• Political contributions. The alliance will make financial contributions to members of Congress who advance legislation favorable to passenger rail interests.
  
  

The Passenger Rail Alliance is a non-profit trade association incorporated in the District of Columbia.
